Pauline EdwardsPauline Edwards - violin, vocals

Hailing from beautiful Victoria BC., Pauline Edwards is going with the flow in a stream of music and creativity. With fourteen years of classical training under the bridge, Pauline’s playing reveals a matured personal style that sings to the melody of the soul. From soulful melodies to funky rhythms, whether a carefully engineered soundtrack or an intimate live performance, her violin sings out with a voice that will lift the spirit.

Emerging onto the scene in 2002 with local culture jammer’s collective KINGBONG, Pauline established herself as an energetic and versatile performer. She has performed and recorded with Toronto’s soul/dub group Greenlaw Ave., downtempo soul saviors LAL, including a live performance at the 2004 Ohm festival, and Victoria’s own Noah Becker, to name a few. Pauline has toured across Canada with the Wyld Lily Gypsy Caravan, playing her own original tunes, as well as being a guest artist for Shauna Major and James Kasper. She has been a contributing member of the Caroline Spence Band since 2006, and is now proud to be a founding member of Crimson Star.

With influences ranging from Stephan Grapelli to Radiohead, Pauline’s voice had been compared to the likes of Jewel, Jane Arden and Ani DiFranco. Her first solo acoustic album was released in September 2005 and she is in the process of recording a new album under her stage name, Psaje.

Fun Facts: Polly's full name spells out PEACE. She also has a styling set of knitwear! :-)
