Crimson Star Music

If you like eclectic, lyric-focused music infused with a mix of stylings that bring out the emotional truth of each song, along with smooth, resonant and lush vocals, you will like Crimson Star. The progressive-folk-rock sound is similar in style to Fleetwood Mac, Sarah McLachlan, The Smiths, The Cure, Pooka, Patti Smith, Folk Implosion, This Mortal Coil, and Sixpence None the Richer, if you mix until well blended and add a touch of gothic harmonies ala Cocteau Twins.

Crimson Star (formerly Caroline Spence Band) are currently working on a new full-length album set for release in Summer 2008. In the meanwhile, you can listen to their studio EP, 'hello' and their live album, 'Live at the Glenn Lake Inn' recorded in 2006. The single from the hello EP, 'Hey, Gemini' won The Great Canadian Talent Search (sponsored by Canadian Musician Magazine).
